Description
This beautifully designed, most desirable “bat-wing” 3-light fixture could use a little spiffing up, if you are so inclined.I’d personally be perfectly willing to hang it as it is.After all, it’s the uplifting aspect of the shades, and their attractive coloration, that are the stars of the show.
Speaking of the shades, one has a small chip right on the very tip, but as you can see (it’s closest to the camera) it’s not even noticeable un under very close scrutiny.
Otherwise, all’s well with the shades.
The metal could use a little “spiffing up” as I call it.Originally the aluminum-appearing aspects and accents were highly polished, and still could be, although that would require a lot of work, taking great care (best to use a polishing wheel). The gold paint has darkened considerably from its original vibrant color. And so it goes with nearly a hundred years of time…
Rewired from the central cluster through the canopy to the ceiling. The original wiring is otherwise intact and working.
As shown the fixture hangs down about 29 inches.Links can be subtracted or added easily.I can provide you with additional links or take out however many you wish. The “diameter” is about 17 1/2 inches.See
