Description
Splatterware (Spode) was made in England for America between 1800-1850, using a technique where glaze was splattered or sponged on. A small piece of rubber was put on the bottom on each plate, creating small dots that verify the authenticity of the plates.
This set of 9 small plates feature a unique multicolored splatter pattern, and measure 6 inches in diameter each.See
