Description

This listing is for a rare weight driven Massachusetts banjo clock.

This clock is believed to have been a work by someone from the Willard family, or one of their followers.

A very faint semi legible note on the back of the dial mentions “D. Ham” – possibly Daniel Ham of Portsmouth.

This is a very early piece, dating to the 1820s-1830s.

The clock is quite gorgeous with its wooden case, brass detailing, and reverse painted glass panels.

The clock has an 8 day weight driven time only movement

This clock appears to be in overall good condition for its age and has been well cared for. Some signs of normal wear and age present. The eagle finial may not be original to the clock

The movement was last serviced in 2019. It ran when recently tested.

Length: 32.75 inches

Width: 9.9 inches

Depth: 3.5 inches
