Minor wear to the gold finish—actually, the gold color in ceramic paint was very “temperamental” back then. If it was fired in the kiln at too hot of a temperature, the gold color would thin in some areas. More than likely, this lamp is in the same condition, as when it came from the factory. There are no chips or cracks.
