This set of ten vintage solid mahogany dining chairs by Elgin A. Simonds Co. of Syracuse, NY includes eight side chairs and two armchairs. Each chair features an elegant pierced splat back, straight legs with stretcher supports, and seats upholstered in a dusty blue satin-like fabric with a raised floral vines pattern. The fine craftsmanship and classic design reflect the high-quality furniture production for which Elgin A. Simonds Co. was known.
