Description
Pair of Solomonic Columns crowned by Corinthian Capitals on which Musical Putti’s ( Angels) are perched.
The Columns have unique signs of appropriate age despite a complete restoration and new gold leaf in 2005 by Ngyuyen Studios in Paris. The Gold Leaf is slightly burnished on the inner Columns surface, with the vines, leaves, decor and Puttis being a shinier gold leaf.
When the restoration was done we gold leafed the back of the Columns in case they are placed before a mirror.
The details are an amazing study in what was once done by the artisans who sculpted them with vines that do not touch the Columns intermittently.
They measure approximately 10 feet tall. The Width and Depth is approx 15″ When the Puttis are considered. The Columns base is approx 12″ and the column itself is a bit smaller than 12″ in circumference.
They are in a very large crate, except the Putti.
