Description

• Calling all connoisseurs, collectors, and those that appreciate attention to detail: Each piece in the Calypso Collection is truly one of a kind.
• The black end table’s dazzling finish is created using an old-world technique by an artisan who adheres pieces of genuine buffalo horn onto a piece of linen in unique patterns.
• The artisan then hand applies layers of lacquer over the pattern for an ultra-smooth finish.
• The gray and white variants are created with tiny pieces of meticulously adhered eggshells placed in a puzzle-like pattern before being covered in lacquer.
• The result? A piece of functional art that mesmerizes with each glance.
• This standout piece helps define the room by becoming the focal point around which a room is designed.
• Pair two Calypso tables together as a coffee table, place one next to a sofa or put one beside a chaise lounge and find yourself mesmerized each time you reach for a drink or for a magazine.

What We Love About the Calypso Collection:

• Hand-applied eggshell or buffalo horn handiwork, normally reserved for precious, small items like jewelry boxes or elegant drink trays, is now on full display with the Calypso collection.
• We’ve applied those lush techniques to a larger form, creating a collectible heirloom.
• Villa & House (formerly Bungalow 5) specializes in meticulously crafted furniture and home decor sourced from a diverse selection of materials.
