Description
Vintage 1950s striped wood windmill blade assembly, painted in alternating blue and white stripes.
This four-blade assembly was once part of an outdoor windmill. Each tapered wooden blade is mounted to a central metal hub, with old flathead screws and visible oxidation around the fittings. The painted surface shows heavy crackling and wear, with stripes in a bright cobalt blue over a white ground.
Blades are reinforced with wood strips on the reverse. The structure and paint suggest it was made for visibility, possibly for a barn or as a weather device.See
