Description

Antique Chinese Cloisonne Snuff Box

The exact age of this box is unknown, however, because it says made in China on the bottom it was most likely made between the late 1800s and the 1920s.Another way to determine the age of a Cloisonne item is to examine of the enamel and the little holes that occur naturally in over time. This shouldn’t be considered an imperfection, but rather just a tool for estimating the age of a Cloisonne piece.I also found one other box like this when I did my research using the steps listed below, and it was listed as an antique. The previous owners of my Box did not state the age.

Origin: China
Age: Antique
Height: 3.4 inches
Width: 2 inches
Depth: 1 inch
Condition: Very good antique condition with some imperfections, including scratches and small holes in the enamel. None of the holes seem to be big or problematic.

My guarantee is that I will be honest about my items and fair with my pricing.

There are three steps involved in research and pricing for me.

1.I use an app called Google lens to take a photo of any item. This will bring up similar items, how they are described, how old they are, and how much they cost, if this information is available.

2.I do a Google search for the name of the item.

3.I do a search for the item by name on this site to learn about other similar items.

Since I am being honest and fair with my pricing, I want you to know about the steps. It will only help by validating my pricing choices.

Feel free to ask me any questions or to make an offer.

Thank you,

Sherry
